The History shirt is excerpted from a 3,000-year timeline of of Western art created by Jennifer Tobias, reference librarian at the Museum of Modern Art and Ph.D. candidate in Art History at City University of New York Graduate Center. She drew this timeline in preparation for a slide exam that requirs graduate students to identify canonical items from across the history of art. Tobias passed the exam in Falll 2003.
